The Head Office and Pilar Branch employees of Rural Bank of Pilar (Sor.), Inc. participated in the Brigada Eskwela of Pilar I Central School with the theme: “Matatag na Bayan para sa Maunlad na Paaralan”. With a turnout of 26 employees, the activity targeted to paint and clean the north fence or main entrance of the school. This activity is a first of its type under the Bank’s array of Corporate Social Responsibility program, it follows a guideline of objectives which includes the start-up of a line-up of CSR activites, exercise our commitment of malasakit (we care), through our small efforts and dedication to perform the task, pagsisilbi (we serve) by contributing our skills and talent and maihatid (we deliver) to produce an output that is complete and adhere to acceptable standards.
The activity started with the opening prayer followed by task distribution. Thereafter, the the employees started cleaning the surrounding areas to prepare for painting. With a high turnout of volunteers, the painting of the fences started on-time, and the entire 120 meters fence were fully painted. Mr. Fernando N. Negrite, principal took time to personally thank the Bank and its management. Cleaning materials like broomsticks and dustpans were donated to the school.
It was proposed that participation in the Brigada Eskwela of nearby schools will become a staple in the CSR program , it also encouraged the other offices or branches to conduct a similar activity in the future.
